Admission requirements

The number of seats is limited. Meeting the minimum requirements described below does not guarantee admission. The application and additional information are available on the department’s website.

Construction Management has three pathways to admission: direct freshman admission, early admission, and upper division admission. Transfer students apply for admission through the Upper-Division Admission program. The application form and additional information are available on the department’s website.

Direct admission of freshmen

The department enrolls a certain number of students each year directly after high school graduation, before they complete any university-level prerequisites. Freshman applicants who meet the UW’s admission criteria and have indicated Construction Management as a primary major on their application are automatically considered. Admission is based on a holistic review that includes established criteria and selection guidelines. Please refer to the department’s website for more information.

Renewal policy

All students must be making satisfactory academic progress in the major. Failure to meet this requirement results in a probationary period that may lead to dismissal from the major. For complete information on the continuation policy, contact a departmental advisor or go to the departmental website.
